This first editorial is our beach photoshoot, entitled "The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea." It was shot in Palos Verdes, California, our photographer was Natalie S., our lovely model was Tenaya C., Maud did the hair, I did the makeup, and we both styled it. It was actually overcast and freezing the entire time we were shooting, but I think it was worth it. We tried to capture the sheer, floral, lingerie-inspired trends we saw for Spring/Fall 2009, and we worked in a lot of beachy elements, of course. The story here was just a girl spending a day at the beach, with a more wardrobe changes. We actually didn't buy anything for either of the spreads, we just raided our (and our friend's, and our parent's...) closets, because we wanted our spreads to be more accessible than the general magazine spread. Our budget was literally $0. Talk about being recessionistas. We hope you guys like them, and check back in a few minutes for our '80s spread!

The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea
So here's the culmination of all our blogging/researching/style.com-ing for the last few months. We did two photoshoots, one beach-themed and one 80's-themed, and we're putting them up on the blog for you guys to see! Please let us know if there are any technical difficulties, it was touch and go for awhile there.
And yes, that white dress is my graduation dress, if anybody remembers. Yay for eBay!
