It's thumbs designers to Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai walked the red carpet in a beige suit with a shoulder Elie Sahab on the opening day of the 64th Festival de Cannes.
"I think Aishwarya team is very elegant and fashionable. It is very sophisticated and reflects the maturity. I would say is the perfect blend of East and West," said designer Leena Singh of designer duo Ashima-Leena IANS.
The actress completed her look with her hair tied up, simple earrings and Jimmy Choo clutch bag in hand.
Aishwarya has been attending the French Film Festival since 2002 as the global face of L'Oreal. Last year, the actress wore a purple tulle fully embroidered blue chiffon dress, also belonged to the fashion house of Lebanese designer Elie Saab.
Designers feel elegant and classic actress 37 years old, this year is much better than before.
"She's looking great. It seems to have lost much weight and looks more in shape. It's definitely a better choice than his former team he had in Cannes last year. It is classic and stylish," said designer Charu Parashar.
Designer Alpana of Alpana, Neeraj echoed a similar view.
"I think it was prudent with your choice on this occasion. The color, hair work and are cared for properly. The minimalist approach does look young. And definiteley looks much better than previous years," said Alpana.
While Aishwarya was tied hair, designer Reena Dhaka believes that the former beauty queen who left her hair open.
"It's much the appearance of the 90, which is cool. I wish you had let her hair down. I like it," said Dhaka.
Designer Pravesh Pravesh and Jai says: "Justice has been done to the team."
Actress Minissha Lamba also walked the red carpet on Wednesday in a one-shoulder gown, designed by Gauri and Nainika. Minissha was in Cannes for the premiere of Woody Allen's "Midnight in Paris".
This year, Bollywood will have a strong presence in Cannes, which began Wednesday. Aishwarya and Minissha addition, actors like Sonam Kapoor, Frieda Pinto and actor Saif Ali Khan walks the red carpet at various events. The festival ends on 22.
