Oscar Makeup

The makeup is always one of the highlights at the Oscars (at least for me), but it can be hard to recreate those looks at home, especially if you don't know what products the makeup artist was using. In order to stop some of the confusion, here are the play-by-play instructions for three of my favorite looks from last night:

Freida Pinto: Looking young and fabulous in all Dior products. Her skin was evened out with Diorskin Nude Natural Glow Hydrating Makeup ($45 at sephora.com), and then her cheekbones were highlighted with Diorskin Shimmer Star in Amber Diamond ($43 at sephora.com). The dark shade in the Night Dust palette ($56 at sephora.com) was brushed along the lash line, and the Bloom Pink single shadow ($25 at dillards.com) and Beige Massai palette ($56 at sephora.com) were used on the eyelid. Finally, Dior Addict High Shine Lipstick in Sheer Rose ($26 at sephora.com) was applied to her lips for subtle shine.

Anne Hathaway: Very subtle, but still glamourous with that orangy-red lip. All Lancome products. Color Design Eyeshadow in Ciel du Soir ($16.50 at sephora.com) was swept across the lid, and her eyes were lined with Le Crayon Kohl in Black Ebony ($23.50 at sephora.com), which was smudged just a bit. Several coats of the Oscillation Mascara ($34 at sephora.com) were applied, followed by a touch of Blush Subtil in Sheer Amourose ($29.50 at sephora.com), and the Color Fever Lipstick in Brickhouse ($25 at lancome-usa.com) was applied as a lip stain.

Natalie Portman: I think we can all agree that she's too tan, but putting that aside, her makupe was really pretty! Her look was created using all Chanel products. The pale pink shade from the Orient Express shadow Duo ($40 at nordstrom.com) was used as a base color for the lid, and the purple shade was used to line the eye, and blended to create a smokey effect. Her waterline was lined with Le Crayon Kohl Intense Eye Pencil in Black Jade ($27 at nordstrom.com), and her lashes were coated with several coats of the Inimitable Mascara in Noir-Black ($30 at nordstrom.com). To define her brows, Perfect Brows in Brun ($65 at nordstrom.com) was used. Powder Blush in Narcisse ($42 at nordstrom.com) was swept across her cheekbones, and the Glossimer Lip Gloss in Galatic ($27 at nordstrom.com) gave Natalie a lavender lip. Finally, Sheer Brilliance in Sunkissed ($45 at neimanmarcus.com) was applied to her chest, shoulders, and arms for a bronzy glow.
