Get the Look: Emma Watson at the London Premiere

Today is officially Emma Watson day. Just FYI. I died when I saw her ensemble at the London premiere of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. Died. First off, she's wearing freaking Ossie Clark (I'm pretty sure it's new, not vintage). I love that she's wearing such a classically English designer, but looks completely modern and fresh. And check out the print! It looks like little textured clouds someone doodled. So adorable. But what really gets me about this look is the hair and makeup. They're both so simple and laid-back, and she manages to look young and polished at the same time. That takes talent. Scroll down for my steps to get her look.



The hair is the easy part. Spray your hair liberally with a dry shampoo like Klorane Gentle Dry Shampoo, $19 at sephora.com, and scrunch hair with your hands to get a bit of texture. Then, pull your hair back into a soft, messy bun, raking back your part with your hands so that it disappears. Take two thin, elastic headbands, like Scunci No Damage Headbands, $5.29 for 4 at drugstore.com, and place one on the front half of the head, and one on the back half of the head about 3 inches apart. Pull out a few pieces of hair for a softer, more romantic look.

As for the makeup, I'd start with a tinted moisturizer because it gives more of a glow than foundation and lets your skin shine through while providing coverage. I like Kiehls Ultra Facial Tinted Moisturizer with SPF 15, $24.50 at kiehls.com, because it looks natural but actually evens out your skin tone. Use a cream concealer like MAC Studio Sculpt Concealer, $16.50 at maccosmetics.com, to hide imperfections, and a sheer dusting of pressed powder, like Stila Sheer Pressed Powder, $28 at sephora.com, to cut shine. Define your brows with a pencil like Anastasia Perfect Brow Pencil, $22 at sephora.com, and brighten your lids with a nude cream shadow like Benefit's Creaseless Shadow/Liner in Birthday Suit, $19 at sephora.com. Line the eyes with a gold liquid liner like Styli-Style's Special Effects Liquid Metallics in Gold, $7.49 at stylistyle.com, and highlight the apples of the cheeks with a peachy-coral blush like MAC's Blushcreme in Lilicent, $18 at maccosmetics.com. The important thing is to keeps the cheeks slightly flushed, the skin natural looking, and to give the eyes a bit of definition and a gorgeous golden sheen. It's glamorous and relaxed, all at once.
