So these photos are actually kind of dated by this point, but they are still really entertaining so I'm going to talk about them anyway. Yesterday (night, actually), I was helping a friend with a photo project (Hi Matty!) as he was working on what ended up being modern interpretations of Hitchcock scenes. While we made do with what we had on hand, Vanity Fair did a similar spread back in 2008 (forever ago, I know) and actually was able to afford similar reproductions. The majority of the images are great, ignoring Renee Zellweger's shot, and inspiring not just from an image standpoint, but they have a film-y feeling as well. I know. I'm really into not using real words today. The clothes/rooms are modern interpretations of the screen shots they based them on and while some are more on the mark than others, for the most part they turned out pretty well. Have a looky for yourself.
Images (top to bottom): Charlize Theron in Dial M for Murder; ScarJo and Javier Bardem in Rear Window; Keira Knightley and Jennifer Jason Leigh in Rebecca; Gwenneth Paltrow and Robert Downey, Jr. in To Catch a Theif; Marion Cotillard in Psycho. For more photos and the comparison shots to the original, got to the Vanity Fair website.
