Every girl has, at some point or another, wished that they were a princess, a la Cinderella, Snow White, Ariel, etc. The part of the fairytale daydream that fascinated me the most was always the princess dress. It came in a rainbow of colors, but it was always giant, pouffy, and fanfreakingtastic. I found a couple real life examples to drool over.
Michael Kors, Marchesa
Marchesa, Luisa Beccaria
Giambattista Valli, Giambattista Valli
And, of course, some princess appropriate shoes to go with them.
Fendi Pumps, $705 at net-a-porter.com, and Roberto Cavalli Platforms, $1180 at net-a-porter.com
Add in a handsome (hopefully british) prince:
And you've got a fairytale ending. Actually, Robert Pattinson alone would be enough for me, but the dresses are a nice touch.
