Spring Beauty Trends: Pale Lips

Spring makeup trends this year are leaning towards a softer, more natural look (ignore the crazy eyes at Gucci). So instead of bright pink/coral/orange lips for spring, try going for a nude or pale lip instead. It's easy and fresh, unlike that typical matte red we've been seeing for the last few seasons.

If you're super hard core, you can do what Gucci Westman did at DVF, and blend Revlon Matte Lipstick in Pink Pout, $7.99 at walgreens.com, Revlon Matte Eyeshadow in Vintage Lace, $4.99 at walgreens.com, and Revlon Kohl Eyeliner in Pure White, $9.99 at walgreens.com, and then dab it on your lips.

For an easier to wear/do version of the pale lip, try these:

Mac Lipglass in Fashion Scoop, launching Feb. 5 (on the left). It's an opague, pale pink gloss with a hint of sparkle.

Dior Lip Gloss in Clutch Pink, $25.50 at sephora.com
I couldn't find any pictures except this swatch on the Sephora website (and their swatches are notoriously off), but it's a sheer, sparkle-free pale pink that's really pretty in person, and probably the most wearable of all three options.
